ESSIE vs FINGER PAINT, who ya got

Essie "Shine of The Times" VS Finger Paints "Sugar Crush"

Now, as we know, Essie's product was discontinued in 2011 because they are complete bastards. But it is so beautiful! It's one of the hottest flakies out there; I bought it on Amazon for like $12 because, you know, I don't have student loans or anything (sometimes my life is a series of bad ideas), but I figured it was worth it! And I think it kind of is.

"Shine of the Times" on top of Wet N Wild "Ferguson Crest Syrah". Dubbed "Dragon Slayer" by Sarah.

"Sugar Crush" on top of Revlon "Saucy". Dubbed "Phoenix Feathers" again by the sweet Sarah.
But then there came whispers on the wind (always) of a near-dupe out there; Finger Paint's "Sugar Crush", which can be found at the weirdly specific "Five Below", a $5 and under store. And they do have quite a variety of polish, which are either $2 each or 3 for $5!

I think the main difference is that "Sugar Crush" doesn't appear to have quite as big of flakies. The density is there, but the flake size runs a wider variety than "SotT" (I'm not typing that shit every time). In a pinch though, it's a LOT cheaper and easier to find. And I haven't toyed with them too long, but I like their textures so far (I also picked up a lavender and... some other one that I can't remember. I think it was blue? NO IT WAS A GOLD PINK DUOCHROME, awesome.). And no, don't plan to buy a dozen of these and pour them into emptied Essie bottles and resell them for $20 a pop because that's MY plan

No it's not.

And don't mind the weird formatting in this post, Blogger is drunk.
